Idli Kadai Box Office Collection Day 1: Dhanush and Nithya Menen starrer Tamil action family drama movie released in theatres on October 1 and received mixed responses from the audience and the critics. The film opened at the box office with great numbers, earning over Rs 10 crore. Idli Kadai also outperformed They Call Him OG, which collected Rs 7 crore. The movie is set to have a box office clash with Kantara Chapter 1. It would be interesting to see if Idli Kadai maintain the same performance in the coming days as well after facing the clash.

As per Sacnilk, Idli Kadai earned Rs 10.50 crore on Day 1. The film had an overall 48.34 per cent Tamil occupancy on Wednesday. It had 25.82 per cent occupancy in the morning shows, 47.71 per cent in the afternoon shows, 50.51 per cent in the evening shows and 69.33 per cent in the night shows.

What Is The Budget Of Idli Kadai?

As per reports, the film has been made on a budget of Rs 60 crore.

What Is Idli Kadai All About?

The film is about a man named Murugan, who leaves his village, Sangarapuram in Theni district. His father, Sivanesan, had a humble yet iconic idli eatery to pursue his dream of becoming a renowned chef. Murugan, who works for the multi-millionaire Vishnuvardhan in Bangkok, is about to marry his daughter, Meera. Following news of his father's death, he revisits his village after many years. He sees then his father’s legacy is at stake, along with Vishnu's reputation, who sends his son, Ashwin, to make Murugan come back. Idli Kadai features Dhanush as Murugan, Nithya Menen as Kayal, Arun Vijay as Ashwin, Rajkiran as Sivanesan, Sathyaraj as Vishnu Varadhan, R. Parthiban as Inspector R. Arivu, Shalini Pandey as Meera, P. Samuthirakani as Marisamy and Geetha Kailasam as Kasturi. It has been written and directed by Dhanush. The movie has been backed by Aakash Baskaran and Dhanush. It has a runtime of 147 minutes.
