Karan Johar's extraordinary weight loss on the internet has left the internet talking for a while now. His change was widely acclaimed, but there were also rumours that he had taken Ozempic, a diabetes medication that is now notorious for causing rapid weight reduction. The filmmaker hilariously addressed the rumours on Twinkle Khanna and Kajol hosted chat show, Two Much. Joined by Janhvi Kapoor, the filmmaker talked about Ozempic with his signature wit.

Karan Johar kept complaining that they don't have a good enough spread for him, so Twinkle assured him there was enough of food to feed him in the opening minutes of the show. "But if you read anything online, they think I don't eat because I am on chemical substances, like Ozempic," he jokingly said.

Twinkle Khanna quipped, "Beta, itna injection mat liya kar! Itna dubla ho gaya hai. Mummy kya bolegi."

Karan couldn’t help but exclaim that he hadn’t seen 'so many carbs in a while.'

Karan Johar's Ozempic Rumours

Karan has been making waves on social media since 2024 as a result of his body transformation. Many people suspected that the director was using weight loss drugs earlier in 2024, even if he explained that the dramatic results were all the consequence of his good diet and weight reduction choices.

For those who are unaware, the filmmaker talked about his dramatic makeover on Thursday, April 17, during an Instagram Live session. "I'm in the pink of my health. I’ve never been better." Speaking about the cause of his weight reduction, the director disclosed that he needed to adjust his blood test results once they were completed.

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) initially authorized Ozempic as an injectable medication in 2017 with the goal of helping "lower blood sugar levels in adults with Type 2 diabetes mellitus, in addition to diet and exercise." It has become more well-known as a medication for weight loss in recent years.
