Janhvi Kapoor had a spectacular debut at the current Cannes Film Festival. She honored her late mother, actor Sridevi, by walking the red carpet in a royal ensemble that radiated sophistication and elegance.
Janhvi Kapoor chose to wear a delicate, rose-coloured, metallic-shaded ensemble by Tarun Tahiliani for the occasion. She wore a veil over her low bun as part of the costume. The actress honored her mother Sridevi by dressing in Indian-inspired ensemble, according to Diet Sabya.
Janhvi Kapoor's late mother, Sridevi was renowned for her grace and elegance. The late legendary star often attended big events and occassion in traditional Indian garb that expressed her devotion for her culture.

Janhvi Kapoor's custom made corset and skirt by Tarun Tahiliani were constructed from actual tissue that was carefully weaved in Benaras. A hand-crushed method was used to create the texture. She completed the royal ensemble with layered pearl necklaces.

Tarun Tahiliani shared the details of Janhvi Kapoor's royal ensemble, the caption read, "Janhvi Kapoor’s (@janhvikapoor) ensemble features a handwoven real tissue skirt and corset, specially crafted in Benares. The surface is brought to life with a hand-crushed technique that lends depth and texture, while a signature TT drape adds a touch of sculptural fluidity. The raw, uncut hem remains untouched—an intentional ode to the authenticity of the weave."

Netizens on social media showered Janhvi Kapoor, who was styled by Rhea Kapoor, with praise. Some praised her self-assured red carpet stroll, while others likened her royal attire to the Netflix period drama Bridgerton. One of the users wrote, "Tarun Tahilani x Jhanvi Kapoor.. About Homebound Movie
Homebound actors Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa along with director Neeraj Ghaywan, and producer Karan Johar accompanied Janhvi Kapoor on the red carpet. Homebound is about two friends from a North Indian town whose friendship is affected when they decide to become police officers.
The Cannes Film Festival's Un Certain Regard section featured a screening of Neeraj's Homebound. The movie now has Martin Scorsese as its executive producer. Apoorva Mehta, Somen Mishra, Adar Poonawalla and Karan Johar backed movie also has Melita Toscan Du Plantier and Marijke de Souza as co-producers.
