Jagran Film Festival 2025: The Jagran Film Festival (JFF) 2025, which began on 4th September, has been travelling across the country, creating excitement for film lovers and budding artists. After successful stops in cities like Delhi, Kanpur, and Lucknow, the festival is now heading to Prayagraj, where it will be held from 26th to 28th September. Over the years, JFF has become one of India’s most recognised film festivals, bringing together acclaimed films, talented filmmakers, and celebrated actors. Stars such as Manoj Bajpayee, Divya Khosla Kumar, and Kajol have already graced earlier editions this year, offering insights and sharing their journeys with audiences. Prayagraj now looks set to enjoy its share of cinematic brilliance, screenings, and inspiring interactions.

The Prayagraj chapter of JFF will open with Ghar, directed by Kangkan Bora. The film tells the emotional story of Sandeep and his wife, who leave their village and move to Mumbai to fulfil a promise. However, once in the city, they find themselves betrayed and struggling to survive without even a roof over their heads. Ghar presents a realistic picture of hardship, resilience, and survival in an unforgiving metropolis.

The line-up includes: Dostbook directed by Anil Kumar, Magical Plant directed by Tariq Mohammad, Blindfold directed by Aditi Pandey and Mandi House Ka Mental directed by Mahi Singh. Each of these films explores very different themes, ensuring that audiences of all ages will find something meaningful. This is in line with JFF’s new approach of “Good Cinema for Everyone”. Unlike earlier editions that were restricted to audiences above 18, the festival now includes special sections suitable for children as well, encouraging young minds to appreciate cinema.
