As Assam continues to face one of its worst flood situations in recent years, Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan has stepped forward to support the affected people. The actor has donated Rs 1 crore to the chief minister's relief fund to help ongoing rescue and rehabilitation efforts. His generous contribution has been appreciated by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who thanked him publicly for extending timely support.

Kartik Aaryan Contributes Rs 1 Crore For Flood-Hit Assam

The Assam Chief Minister's Office shared the update through its official X handle and thanked Kartik Aaryan for his generous donation. The post acknowledged the actor's contribution and praised him for supporting the state's relief work during a difficult time.

The post read, "Grateful to actor Kartik Aaryan for his generous contribution of Rs 1 crore to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund. CM Himanta Biswa Sarma appreciates his commendable gesture and timely support towards the state's relief efforts."

Chief Minister Hemant Biswa Thanks Kartik Aryan

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also reposted the message and personally thanked Kartik Aaryan for his contribution.

He wrote, "Your generous contribution has truly warmed our hearts. Kartik Aaryan, your support will go a long way in helping the people of Assam."

Celebrities Come Forward To Help Assam

The contribution from Kartik is made during a period when several celebs from the entertainment industry have been trying to encourage others to donate towards the relief efforts in Assam. Some of them include the actor Alia Bhatt, actress Bhumi Pednekar, and the singer Papon. Moreover, Salman Khan has joined hands with his fans in supplying basic necessities in the flooded areas.

Assam Flood Situation Remains Serious

As per the recent statistics provided by the Assam State Disaster Management Authority, the death count stands at 78. Millions of people in seven different districts have been affected by the flooding. Families have lost their homes, and livelihoods have been disturbed, and there is a lack of basic necessities.
