‘Kaun Shah Rukh Khan?’: Vivek Oberoi Says People May Forget SRK By 2050

Shah Rukh Khan is one of the renowned stars in the country who dominates the hearts of the audience with his performances. He enjoys the massive stardom for his standout roles in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Mohabbatein, Darr, Devdas, Don and Swades. The world goes crazy with SRK's name but Vivek Oberoi has a different opinion about Shah Rukh Khan’s stardom. Recently, the Mastiii 4 actor stated that by 2050, people might not remember the King Khan of Bollywood. Here is why he said.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Vivek Oberoi said, “Which film, starring whom from the 1960s, do you ask anyone about today-nobody cares. You will inevitably be relegated to history. In 2050, people might say, 'Kaun Shah Rukh Khan?' (Who is Shah Rukh Khan?).”

In the same chat, Vivek also talked about Raj Kapoor’s stardom. He added, “Just as people today might ask, 'Who is Raj Kapoor?' You and I may call him the god of cinema, but if you ask any youngster who is a fan of Ranbir Kapoor, they might not even know who Raj Kapoor was. So perhaps history eventually relegates us all to nothingness.”

For the unversed, Shah Rukh Khan received his first National Award for Jawan in September. He won the Best Actor category award from the prestigious event. Notably, Jawan is a 2023 movie, which was about a man who tries to rectify the misdeeds of society. The movie also features Nayanthara, Girija Oak, Ashlesha Thakur, Riddhi Dogra, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra and Priyamani in key roles. The film has been directed by Atlee.

SRK is currently gearing up for the release of King, which is expected to be released in 2026. The movie also features Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone and Abhishek Bachchan in the pivotal roles.

On the work front, Vivek Oberoi will be next seen in Mastii 4. The film is set to be released in theatres on November 21. The movie also features Aftab Shivdasani and Riteish Deshmukh in the lead roles. The movie is about three unhappy husbands who plan to leave their boring marriages. Their bold scheme offers liberation and thrill but then aftermath takes surprising turns.
