Sanjay Dutt has been making roaring headlines for delivering smashing performances in movies like Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and KGF Chapter 2. He was recently spotted in Mumbai at the teaser launch event of his upcoming Kannada movie KD - The Devil along with Shilpa Shetty and Dhruva Sarja. The film is slated for release on July 10, 2026. The Bollywood star recently got candid and expressed his views on choosing more of South Indian films rather than promoting Bollywood.
Sanjay Dutt shed light on the comparison between Bollywood and Tollywood during the media interaction and said, “I take back the passion (from Tollywood), which Bollywood has lost. And I hope it comes back. That’s what I miss back home, the passion to make a good film. You know, it’s not about numbers. Everything is about numbers back in Bollywood. But it’s not about numbers, it’s about passion," he said.

He also discussed his experience working with Prabhas on the sets of The Raja Saab. “You know what, I am trying to learn Telugu because I’m doing one film with Prabhas. I am doing a film called The Raja Saab. He makes me eat a lot, Prabhas. He is one of the most amazing, wonderful people and a great actor,” he stated. Sanjay Dutt didn’t shy away from expressing his admiration for actor Chiranjeevi and said, “And I love Chiranjeevi sir. He’s done Munna Bhai out here. I share a beautiful relationship with him. God bless him.”
Interacting further, the actor revealed he had taken so long to work in the Tollywood industry because no one approached him. He said that he would have come if the industry would have called him earlier. On the work front, the Munna Bhai of the industry will soon be seen in several high-profile projects like Akhanda 2 and The Raja Saab in Telugu, Dhurandhar and Baap in Hindi, and Sheran Di Kaum Punjabi in Punjabi.
