Forget the Dungeons & Dragons handbooka, Finn Wolfhard (Mike) and Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin) have traded their walkie-talkies for a Hawkins-brand pressure cooker in India. They think that it is a sign that Vecna’s true weakness is a high-pressure whistle. They have skipped their usual swords and bats, choosing instead to take down Vecna using things like a jhaadu (broom) and a belan (rolling pin) which are common in Indian households.
The two actors had a blast coming up with "old school" ways to defeat the villain. They joked about using a pair of bathroom slippers to whack him or using a rolling pin to make him trip and fall like he’s in a cartoon. Finn even suggested a "spicy" trap: hiding a grenade inside a tiffin box (lunch container) to give Vecna a surprise he wasn't expecting.
The funniest part was seeing their reaction to a pressure cooker that was made by a brand called Hawkins. Gaten was thrilled by the coincidence, though he also tried to fly away on a broom like a wizard. Netflix India joked that they weren't exactly using the broom correctly, but one thing is for sure: if Mike and Dustin actually brought these household items to the final battle, Vecna wouldn't stand a chance against the power of a flying slipper! "Jhaadu ka sahi istemaal nahi ho raha. Watch Stranger Things 5: Volume 2, out now, only on Netflix," wrote Netflix India in the caption.
Stranger Things 5 Volume 3 Release Date
Stranger Things 5 Volume 3 will be released on Wednesday, December 31, at 8 pm ET / 5 pm PT. In India, it will start streaming starting from 6:30 am IST, as a part of global rollout schedule. The last episode of the finale season is titled Chapter 8: The Rightside Up.
Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 2 is now streaming on Netflix. If you have followed Stranger Things since the beginning, you will have to see how the characters deal with everything they’ve been through. Stranger Things S5 Volume 2 leans on ideas like parallel dimensions, psychic energy and electromagnetic fields. Characters use makeshift scientific theories—radios, frequencies, brainwaves, and portals—to understand and fight what’s happening in Hawkins. The science used in Volume 2 gives logical-sounding reasons for supernatural events. Volume 2 also marked the introduction of Demodogs.
