The Devil Box Office Collection Day 1: On Thursday, December 11, Darshan Thoogudeepa starrer action-packed Kannada movie The Devil was released in theatres. Directed by Prakash Veer, the film brings multiple layers of storytelling, blended with emotional and action elements to appeal to a wide section of the audience. In the Kannada film, Darshan plays a dual role; his performance impressed the audience, but the movie received a mixed response. Despite this, The Devil kicked off on a strong note and has earned impressive numbers on day 1. This marks a significant achievement in Darshan's career, who is currently behind bars in connection with the Renukaswamy murder case.
According to early estimates from Sacnilk, Darshan starrer has collected a solid Rs 10 crore in India on its first day, marking one of the strongest openings for a Kannada release this year. The film recorded an overall 63.75% Kannada occupancy in Karnataka. The Devil's morning shows reported 60.44%, while afternoon at 51.74%, evening at 63.47%, and night shows had 79.34% occupancy in theatres.
The Devil Movie Budget
This film marked Darshan's return to the big screen after almost two years. The Devil was reportedly made on a budget of 20 crores. Impressively, the Kannada movie collected Rs 10 crore on its very first day.

The Devil Cast And Crew
The Devil stars Darshan in a high-intensity dual role alongside Rachana Rai, while Mahesh Manjrekar plays the main antagonist. In addition to them, the supporting cast includes Sharmiela Mandre, Achyuth Kumar, Vinay Gowda, and Chandu Gowda. The film marks Darshan’s second collaboration with director Prakash after their 2017 film Tarak. Gilli Nata, a contestant on Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12, made his big-screen debut with this highly anticipated film. He was seen in a powerful role, even though he is still inside the BBK12 house.
The story of The Devil revolves around Krishna, a mess owner with a dream of becoming a movie star. However, his dream takes a drastic turn when his path crosses with political activists. The movie is filled with action, intense drama and emotional moments. The musical score is composed by Kantara fame Ajaneesh Loknath.
