Trisha Krishnan, one of the biggest female stars in the South, has recently made a strong move by donating a lifelike mechanical elephant to Sri Ashtabhuja Athisesha Varahi Amman and Sri Ashtalinga Athisesha Selva Vinayagar. On June 27, the temple named the elephant Gaja. Trisha also sponsored a vegan meal for the devotees. The Good Bad Ugly actress mentioned that welcoming a mechanical elephant into the southern traditions is a celebration of kindness, innovation and culture.
In a statement released by the organisation People For Cattle In India (PFCI), Trisha said, “I’m absolutely thrilled to be part of this beautiful moment. Devotion shines brightest when it’s rooted in compassion. Welcoming a mechanical elephant into our temple traditions is a celebration of kindness, innovation, and culture.”
She also added, “We are honouring our heritage in a way that brings no harm, only harmony. This gesture stands as a proud symbol of progress, where faith and empathy walk hand in hand. I hope it inspires many more to embrace a future where love leads our rituals, and no being suffers in the name of tradition.”
PFCI took to his X thanked Trisha for making the donation. The orgnaisation, “Thank you, @trishtrashers for working with us. Gaja signals a new beginning—where real elephants are free, and traditions continue at Sri Ashtalinga Athisesha Selva Vinayagar and Sri Ashtabhuja Athisesha Varahi Amman temples in Tamil Nadu.”

Trisha Krishnan was last seen in Good Bad Ugly. The movie was released in theatres in April 2025 and collected Rs 153.18 crore in India and Rs 246.15 crore worldwide. It also featured Ajith Kumar, Priya Prakash Varrier, Arjun Das, Shine Tom Chacko, Simran and Rahul Dev in key roles.
Trisha Krishnan will be next seen in Vishwambhara. The Telugu movie also features Chiranjeevi, Ashika Ranganath, Isha Chawla and Kunal Kapoor in pivotal roles. The big-budget movie, which was earlier expected to release in January this year, has no release date yet.
