He made a triumphant return to the South cinema as a villain in the acclaimed Tamil movie Madharaasi, and left everyone in awe. His powerful performance and action sequences have everyone talking about his undiscovered talent. The buzz around his work has been growing day by day, with the official announcement of his Hollywood debut in the live-action video game adaptation Street Fighter, where he will play the role of an iconic yogi Dhalsim. Amid this, the actor’s fans have raised questions about Bollywood not recognising the star’s talent.

Vidyut Jammwal recently took to his social media and shared several fan edits and posts where they praised the Commando actor for his magical acting talent. Agreeing with his fans, Vidyut shared some of the glimpses of the posts on his Instagram stories. A post read, "Bollywood failed to use this man's potential." Another social media user wrote, “The actor playing Dhalsim in the live-action Street Fighter is way too handsome.” This comment actually came from a foreign fan, to which an Indian fan replied, “Only if the Indian film industry knew its own true potential, but instead they are pumping out mid movies year after year.”

Vidyut Jammwal’s recent release Madharaasi has stormed the box office. With an impressive opening day, the movie went on to cross Rs 44 crore net within just five days in India. This promised a strong commercial success for the movie. The film has been praised for its storytelling and performances, with many calling it the director's best in years.

On the work front, Paramount Pictures officially released a new poster of Street Fighter, Vidyut’s Hollywood debut project, which featured the entire cast of the movie. Vidyut Jammwal will play the role of Dhalsim, an iconic yogi known for his fire-spitting abilities and stretchy limbs, but at his core, he is a peaceful man. He fights not out of aggression, but to earn money to support his family. Reportedly, Vidyut’s role will be the only Indian character in Street Fighter.
