Vikrant Massey is all set to be seen in a new avatar in the upcoming Dhama project, Dostana 2. The actor himself confirmed that he is set to star in the movie and showcased his excitement about being part of the big project. He also shared that he will be wearing some designer clothes and fancy sunglasses. Massey is set to shoot for Dostana 2 in Europe. Though he confirmed details about his character and being the lead with Lakshya, he refused to name the lead actress of the movie.

In an interview with Times Now, Vikrant Massey said, “You you will see me doing that soon. I think this news is already out. I don’t know why I’m not talking. I’m doing Dostana 2. I’m doing my first Dharma movie. Usme you will see me wearing good designer clothes. Karan (Johar) sir will make sure that I have wear good clothes and I wear those fancy sunglasses. Shooting somewhere in Europe.”

When asked about the female lead in Dostana 2, the actor maintained a silence about it. He added, “I think wo main nahi bolunga. Wo Karan sir hi bolenge toh behtar hai. Uski bhi toh badi announcement hai. (I won't reveal that, Karan sir will say as it is a big announcement). Lakshya is a part of the movie. But let the girl be a surprise.”

Earlier, there were speculations about a debutant female lead in the movie. The makers are reportedly set to shoot from January 2026 and the release is scheduled to be in the end of the year.

Dostana 2 was initially supposed to be made with Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead along with Lakshya. But now the cast have been changed after the film has been revived.

The first part of Dostana featured Abhishek Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Bobby Deol and Kirron Kher in the lead roles. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the 2008 movie was backed by Constance Buccafurri, Karan Johar, Hiroo Johar. It was a big at the box office, earning over Rs 87.15 crore.
