Humane Sagar Death: The Odia entertainment industry is mourning the loss of Humane Sagar, one of its most-loved playback singers, who passed away at the age of 34. His death on 17th November 2025 has shocked fans, colleagues and the wider music community across Odisha. Despite being under critical care for weeks at AIIMS Bhubaneswar, his health continued to deteriorate, and he could not recover.

About Humane Sagar’s Early Life And Career

Humane Sagar was born on 25 November 1990 in Titilagarh, Odisha. Music was part of his life from the very beginning as his grandfather produced albums, while both his parents were singers. Growing up in that environment shaped him naturally as an artist. His big break came in 2012, when he participated in Voice of Odisha Season 2. His emotional singing style instantly connected with viewers, and he went on to win the season marking the start of his journey in Ollywood.

After his win, Humane entered the film industry, and in 2015 he made his playback debut with the title track of Ishq Tu Hi Tu, composed by Abhijit Majumdar. The song became extremely popular, and soon his voice was everywhere. Over the next decade, he recorded over 150 film songs and nearly 200 album tracks. He became especially recognised for lending his voice to several hit songs in Anubhav Mohanty’s films, becoming one of the most familiar voices in Odia cinema. Despite his rising fame, Humane experienced personal struggles. In 2019, he briefly entered politics by joining the Biju Janata Dal, hoping to support cultural initiatives in the state.

About Humane Sagar’s Personal Life

Humane married fellow singer Shriya Mishra in 2017, and the couple welcomed their daughter, Angel, in 2018. However, their marriage went through serious difficulties in the following years. Shriya publicly accused him of abuse and infidelity. In an interview, she said, “My husband is a celebrity for which I never wanted to malign his image. So I had kept mum despite being subjected to mental and physical torture by him for years.” She added, “Apart from the physical and mental torture, he used to provoke me to embrace his religion. Torture became frequent after the birth of our baby girl.” Speaking about an alleged affair, Shriya said, “There is a third person between us for which I was made to leave that house.” In January 2023, the couple reconciled after counselling at a Mahila Police Station, according to reports.

Humane Sagar’s Cause Of Death

Humane was admitted to the ICU at AIIMS Bhubaneswar after a sudden decline in his health. Reports suggest he suffered from a severe liver condition and was kept on advanced life support for over 72 hours. According to a medical report cited by local media, he died from pneumonia and multi-organ failure at 9:08 PM on November 17.
