Meaning it is watchable for all. Toh agar waha koi problem nahi hai (If there are no problems there) that means this film is not here to antagonise anyone from any faith.” The uncut release of the film suggests that the content was deemed suitable for public exhibition by UAE authorities.
As per reports, Haq showcases the 1985 Supreme Court decision in the Mohd Ahmed Khan vs Shah Bano Begum case, which affirmed the entitlement of Muslim women to maintenance under Indian law. The story takes inspiration from Jigna Vora’s book 'Bano: Bharat Ki Beti'. The film follows the legal and personal struggles which culminated in the landmark judgement, that still remembered.
