Jana Nayagan OTT Release Update: Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan is one of the highly anticipated movies of 2026, as it marks the actor's last film. The Tamil action thriller, directed by H Vinoth, is set to hit theatres on January 9, where it will face a box office clash with other big releases. As the final countdown to the film's release begins, the makers have reportedly locked its streaming schedule. Reports about Jana Nayagan OTT release have sparked excitement as the film holds emotional significance for Vijay's fans.

When And Where To Watch Jana Nayagan Online Post Theatrical Run?

According to the viral post on X, Jana Nayagan will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video from February 9, roughly a month after its theatrical release on January 9. However, the makers are yet to make the official confirmation about the OTT release date and platform.

Recently, the makers unveiled the much-awaited trailer, but it didn't receive the response as expected. Fans were disappointed after noticing the Google Gemini logo in one of the scenes. Netizens pointed out an AI watermark that the trailer editor neglected to remove.

In the trailer, at the 00:23-second mark, a scene shows a man holding a machine gun that appears on screen at the bottom-right corner; the Gemini AI logo was clearly visible, suggesting that artificial intelligence may have been used for the film's visuals.

The trailer introduces Thalapathy Vijay as Thalapathy Vetri Kondan, aka TVK, a former police officer who has become a convict. He raises Viji, a young woman with a certain phobia. When his toddler daughter asks if he is “Superman," Vetri was heard saying, “I am just an ordinary man. But I have heard people say that whatever I do is super." The trailer shows him training her with some intensive exercises. However, things change when she gets kidnapped by some goons, and Vetri must confront his past to rescue her. Bobby Deol enters the scene as the antagonist behind the kidnapping, challenging Vetri to “play a game”.

The film also features Pooja Hegde as the female lead, with Mamita Baiju in pivotal roles.
