The Wooga Squad, consisting of South Korean superstar BTS’ V aka Kim Taehyung, actors Park Seo-joon and Choi Woo-shik, musician Peakboy, and singer-actor Park Hyung-sik, is known for their strong bond. In a recent interview on The Do Show, hosted by Hong Kong actress-host Carol Cheng, Kdrama actor Park Hyung-sik shared insights into the close relationship dynamics within this famous friend group.

'V is the immature maknae': Park Hyung-sik

Comparing their friendship to a family, Park Hyung-sik described Park Seo-joon as the father figure and Peakboy as the oldest brother. He portrayed Choi Woo-shik as the playful and mischievous second son who doesn't always follow the rules, while V is seen as the youngest sibling who may act immature at times. He said, “In terms of family relationships, Seo-Joon is like a father and then Peakboy is the eldest son. Woo-shik is like the playful second son who doesn’t listen and is very mischievous, and V is the immature maknae (youngest sibling in the family).”

Hyung-Sik acknowledged that he unintentionally took on a caring role within the group, almost like a mother figure. Reflecting on how this responsibility came about naturally over time, he mentioned that he found himself looking after and assisting his friends. He emphasized that while he didn't intentionally seek out this role, he gradually assumed it as he supported and cared for them. Hyung-Sik said, “I feel like I take on a bit of a motherly role. It’s not because I wanted to do this, but at some point, I found myself taking care of them and helping them a lot.”
