Phule Box Office Collection Day 1: Pratik Gandhi and Patralekhaa starrer biographical movie released in theatres on April 25. The film received mixed reviews from the audience and the critics. Based on the real life stories of anti-caste social reformer Jyotirao Phule and his wife, also a social reformer, Savitribai Phule, the film delivered their inspiring message. Despite much hype and appreciation, the film could not perform well at the box office. Phule opened at the box office, earning in lakhs. The film needs to gear up its performance over the weekend to level in the box office competition with other movies such as Ground Zero, Kesari 2 and Jaat.

As per Sacnilk, Phule earned Rs 21 lakhs on Day 1 in India. On the opening day, the film collected Rs 0.24 crore worldwide.

According to reports, the film was made on a budget of Rs 29 crore. 


About Phule 

The story revolves around the lives of Jyotirao Phule and his wife, Savitribai Phule, who made several changes in society. It focuses on the time when child marriage was prevalent and girls were refused education and pushed into marriage. At that time, he chose to educate his wife Savitribai Phule and set an example in society. The movie features Pratik Gandhi as Jyotirao Phule, Patralekha as Savitribai Phule, Vinay Pathak as Govindrao Phule, Suresh Vishwakarma as Dr. Vishram Ghole, Sushil Pandey as Raja Ram Phule, Vishal Tiwari as Tatyasaheb Bhide and Joy Sengupta as Vinayak Deshpande. The film has been Anant Mahadevan and Muazzam Beg. It has been produced by Anant Mahadevan. As per reports, Phule has a runtime of 2 hours and 9 minutes. Sunita Radia has done the cinematography of the film.
