Retro Worldwide Box Office Collection Day 4: Retro, Suriya's latest Tamil action movie, has been underperforming in theatres during its four-day run compared to actor Nani's HIT 3. Both movies debuted in theatres on May 1, 2025. Suriya's film has struggled to maintain momentum after its opening day. However, it has managed to cross the Rs 70 crore mark, raising expectations for improved collections in the coming days.

Retro Worldwide Box Office Collection Day 4

Suriya and Pooja Hedge starrer Tamil started with Rs 19.25 crore nett across India on its opening day. Then, drop to Rs 7.75 crore on day 2, and showed little jump on days 3 and 4 by scoring Rs 8 and Rs 8.15 crore. So far, Retro stand at Rs 43.15 crore net at the Indian box office during its 4-day extended opening weekend, as per Sacnilk. In terms of the overseas market, the movie has grossed an estimated Rs 20 crore while its worldwide box office stands at Rs 70.91 crore.

HIT 3 Vs Retro Box Office Collection

Nani and Srinidhi Shetty starrer HIT 3 has achieved an impressive feat of Rs 21 crore net since its release on May 1 in India. The movie scored Rs 9.50 crore net on Day 4 at the domestic box office, as per Sacnilk report.

About Retro Movie

Written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj, Retro is produced by Kaarthekeyen Santhanam, Jyotika, and Suriya. The film stars Suriya and Pooja Hegde in lead roles along with Baby Aavni, Joju George, Jayaram, Karunakaran, Nassar, Prakash Raj, and Sujith Shankar in pivotal roles. The film’s music is composed by Santhosh Narayanan. The movie focuses on the life of a gangster who tries to avoid violence leave his past behind and tries to start a peaceful life after promising his wife. But his life takes a drastic turn as his past comes in front. The movie unfolds his fight and violent journey with a blend of romantic life with his wife. The movie was lauded for its cast performances, music, direction, storytelling and cinematic action visuals. Retro was made on a budget of Rs 65 crore.
