Sanjay Dutt has reportedly stepped down from Akshay Kumar's ‘Welcome 3’ due to health concerns. The actor initially began filming in December 2023 but only managed to shoot for one day. Due to the demanding action scenes required for his role, Dutt decided to exit the project to prioritize his health. According to a report by Pinkvilla, the actor had only filmed for a single day in Madh Island before his health issues led him to withdraw from the film.

According to Pinkvilla, "The actor had shot for the film headlined by Akshay Kumar for only one day in Madh Island. His character had a lot of action in the movie, and hence, he decided to walk out considering his health issues."

Akshay Kumar welcomed Sanjay Dutt to the film by sharing a reel on his Instagram. In the video, Akshay is seen riding a horse while Sanjay follows on a bike. Sharing it, Akshay wrote, "What a lovely coincidence that we celebrate 16 years of Welcome today while I am shooting for the franchise's third part WelcomeToTheJungle. And it's wonderful to welcome Sanju Baba in this one. What do you think?"

'Welcome 3' boasts a star-studded ensemble cast featuring Akshay Kumar, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, and Krushna Abhishek, among others. The film is being directed by Ahmed Khan.
