Shah Rukh Khan and Tapsee Pannu starrer Dunki were announced last year in April, and the film is directed by Rajkumar Hirani. The shooting for 'Dunki' took its pace last year, when the first schedule was wrapped up in Abu Dhabi.
Taking to his Instagram, Shah Rukh Khan announced the beginning of the shoot and wrote, "Dear @hirani.rajkumar sir, Aap toh Mere Santa Claus nikle. Aap shuru karo main time pe pahunch jaunga. Actually main toh set par hi rehne lagunga! Feeling humbled and excited to finally work with you. Bringing to you all #Dunki in cinemas on 22nd December 2023."

Now, the last segment of the shoot will be completed this week, where a major underwater sequence of the film is set to be shot post Kashmir's schedule for the film. The sequence will feature Shah Rukh Khan and Tapsee Pannu in an intense action sequence.
According to a report of Pinkvilla, the report stated, "It's not an action sequence, but a pivotal one which will help take the narrative forward, and to an important juncture. The team is excited to film it soon, and the location for it is yet to be finalized. Meanwhile, they are shooting in Kashmir, and will wrap up the schedule this week."
The report also mentioned, "After this and the underwater sequence, they will call it a wrap. Meanwhile, Rajkumar Hirani has been working on the post-production simultaneously, and the movie is presently on track."

While wrapping up the schedule of Abu Dhabi, Shah Rukh Khan also thanked the state of Abu Dhabi and appreciated their culture in a sweet video where he wrote, "A very big Shukran to #SaudiArabiaMinistryOfCulture , the team and all who made this shoot schedule of #Dunki so smooth…"
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is currently basking in the success of 'Pathaan' co-starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, where the film was directed by Siddharth Anand. He also has Atlee's 'Jawan' in the pipeline, co-starring Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, and Suniel Grover in key roles.
Shah Rukh Khan is also set to make a special appearance in Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif's 'Tiger 3' which is directed by Maneesh Sharma and will be released on Diwali 2023.
