Fahmaan Khan recently addressed dating rumours involving Shweta Tiwari during their time working together on 'Mere Dad Ki Dulhan.' The actor acknowledged that their close bond led to speculation about their relationship, but he clarified that they were never romantically involved. He humorously mentioned that on the set, he referred to Shweta as 'guru ji,' while she called him 'sakhi,' highlighting their strong friendship and camaraderie on and off screens.

Fahmaan told Pinkvilla, "Mere har show mein rumour aata hain yaar. Mein toh unko guru ji bulata tha and she used to call me sakhi as I was her confidante on that show. (Every show I’m in, there are always rumours. I used to call her ‘guru ji’ and she used to call me ‘sakhi’ because I was her confidante on that show.) She used to talk to me about whatever she was feeling. We had a great bond."

When asked if he intentionally distanced himself from Shweta Tiwari during her divorce, Fahmaan Khan clarified, stressing their genuine connection and camaraderie. He explained that their bond was clear and open, without any need for secrecy. Fahmaan added that in actual relationships, there might be a sense of caution about public perception, but since theirs was purely platonic, there was no reason for such concerns. "f there was something to hide, there would have been a problem. When you are actually in a relationship and people notice, you become a little conscious that people might find out, but if there is nothing, then you don’t have to be conscious," he added.

Fahmaan disclosed that rumours about him dating Shweta Tiwari surfaced when they met during the COVID-19 lockdown. He explained that meeting under the building led to speculation, with some assuming more than friendship due to the circumstances. The actor shared that they laughed off the rumours and did not pay them much heed. "We didn’t even bother talking about it; we laughed a lot about it. And after that, whenever I work with any co-actor, there’s always a link-up rumour," he said.

He mentioned that he stays in touch with Shweta Tiwari, although their hectic schedules often prevent them from having frequent conversations.
