Stree 2 On OTT: The comedy horror film directed by Amar Kaushik and written by Niren Bhatt, is the fourth installment in the Maddock Supernatural Universe and serves as a sequel to Stree (2018). The film stars Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana, who play a group of friends tasked with defeating Sarkata, a headless malevolent entity that is abducting women in Chanderi. Stree 2 was released in theaters worldwide on August 15, 2024, coinciding with Independence Day. Now, it has landed on social media.

Stree 2: Sarkate Ka Aatank is set in the picturesque town of Chanderi, years after the mysterious disappearance of Stree. The townsfolk are now confronted with a new menace: a headless ghost known as 'Sarkata,' who is abducting women in a quest for revenge against those he blames for Stree’s fate. To combat this sinister force and restore peace, Vicky, Bittu, Rudra and Jana team up and seek assistance from a mysterious woman (played by Shraddha Kapoor). Together, they confront their fears and uncover Chanderi’s dark history in their mission to save the town.
The film received positive reviews from critics and has grossed over ₹871.36 crore worldwide. This makes it the second highest-grossing Indian film and the top Hindi film of 2024, as well as the seventh highest-grossing Hindi film and ninth highest-grossing Indian film of all time. Produced by Maddock Films and Jio Studios, the film is directed by Amar Kaushik.
