Sushant Singh Rajput Case: On June 14, 2020, actor Sushant Singh Rajput passed away. Rhea Chakraborty was accused of aiding and abetting suicide. We now know that a closure report has been filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in relation to the actor's death case.

Rhea Chakraborty's lawyer commended CBI for the action. The agency has closed the case after conducting a comprehensive investigation from all sides, according to a statement made by Satish Maneshinde, a senior attorney at the Bombay High Court. He attributed Rhea Chakraborty's 'untold miseries' and even her 27-day jail sentence 'for no fault of hers' to a false narrative spread by electronic and social media.

"The amount of false narrative in the social media and electronic media was totally uncalled for. Rhea Chakraborty underwent untold miseries and was behind bars for 27 days for no fault of hers until Justice Sarang V Kotwal released her on bail," read his statement as per News18.
