Taylor Swift, one of the most celebrated pop stars globally, may finally perform in India for the first time. However, Indian Swifties might not get a chance to see her on a public stage. According to a report by News18, Taylor Swift has been approached to perform at the pre-wedding festivities of Jeet Adani, the son of billionaire Gautam Adani, India’s second-richest man.
Jeet Adani is set to marry Diva Shah later this year in what promises to be a grand celebration. Reports suggest that discussions are underway between Taylor Swift’s team and the Adani family. A source quoted in the report shared, “Taylor Swift’s team is in talks with the Adanis to perform at one of the pre-wedding festivities of Jeet Adani and Diva Shah. Even though Taylor has not confirmed her presence as of now, talks are underway, and it looks like the grand wedding will mark her first performance in India.”
If finalized, this would be a historic moment for Swifties in India, as Taylor Swift has never performed in the country before. Despite her massive fan base in India, the pop sensation’s world-famous Eras Tour did not include any Indian stops, leaving fans disappointed.

This is not the first time Taylor Swift has been approached for a high-profile private gig. Last year, she reportedly turned down a $9 million offer to perform in the UAE. However, the possibility of her performing at Jeet Adani’s wedding has sparked excitement among fans. Diva Shah and Jeet Adani, who got engaged in March 2023, are expected to host a lavish wedding with pre-wedding celebrations that could become even more memorable with Taylor Swift’s performance.
Back in 2014, Taylor Swift expressed her admiration for Indian cinema in an interaction with the Hindustan Times, saying, “Indian cinema has a lot of music and dance, which excites me. I think Indians share a big passion for song and dance in the movies, which I love.” If confirmed, this performance would mark a significant milestone for Indian Swifties, who have been eagerly waiting for Taylor Swift to perform in the country.
