Actor Vijay Thalapathy is currently basking in the success of his latest released movie The Greatest of All Time aka GOAT. So far, Vijay’s GOAT has surpassed several box office records and has emerged as the highest-grossing Tamil movie of 2024, the fifth highest-grossing Indian film of 2024, ninth highest-grossing Tamil film of all time, and the tenth highest-grossing film in Tamil Nadu. Amid GOAT’s success, Thalapathy Vijay is all set to announce the last film of his movie career as he will soon enter Politics.

Titled Thalapathy 69, the actor's next project, helmed by acclaimed director H. Vinoth. The official announcement is imminent, and fans can expect exciting updates soon about this eagerly awaited film. According to 123 Telugu, the press note about this project read, “The much-awaited #Thalapathy69 announcement is expected to be out soon. This is going to be the LAST FILM for the man who has entertained us all these years. This combo will be the most destructive, and it can’t get better.”
According to the latest whispers and speculations within the Tamil film industry, Mamitha Baiju, is reportedly set to join the cast of the highly anticipated Thalapathy 69. Her inclusion in the project is expected to bring an added layer of excitement and depth to the film.
About The Greatest Of All Time
The Greatest Of All Time hit the theatres on September 5, 2024. The movie stars Vijay Thalapathy, alongside Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Mohan, Ajmal Ameer, Jayaram, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Vaibhav, Yogi Babu, Premgi Amaren, Yugendran and VTV Ganesh.
The GOAT was announced in May 2023 and principal photography began in October 2023, wrapping up by June 2024. Filmed in multiple locations globally, the movie features music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, cinematography by Siddhartha Nuni, and editing by Venkat Raajen. Made on a massive budget of ₹300-₹400 crore, it's AGS' most expensive film and one of India's priciest productions.
