Sudipto Sen's directorial 'The Kerala Story' has been performing exceptionally well at the box office and is able to hold its grip in theatres even five days after its release. The movie has crossed the Rs 50 crore mark at the box office and is still unstoppable.
The Kerala Story Box Office Collection:
According to the website sacnilk, 'The Kerala Story' collected Rs 12 crore on day 6 as per early estimates. The movie collected Rs 11.14 crore on day 5 and its total box office collection now stands at Rs 68.86 crore approximately.
Expressing gratitude for the success of 'The Kerala Story', Adah Sharma wrote, "Thank you to all the crores of you who are going to watch our film, thank you for making it a trend, thank you for loving my performance. This weekend the 12th #TheKeralaStory releases internationally in 37 countries (or more)."

The movie has been declared tax-free in Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, the Deputy CM of Uttar Pradesh said, "Making 'The Kerala Story' tax-free is a very good decision. I want the people of Uttar Pradesh to watch this film and understand how our sisters have suffered. We will also go and watch the film. The people in West Benegal will not accept the ban on this film."
Earlier, Adah Sharma thanked the audience for giving love to the 'The Kerala Story' and penned a heartfelt note on Instagram. She wrote, "Standing ovation in theatres, the honourable PM mentioning our film #TheKeralaStory, critics and the audience applauding my performance, HOUSEFULL messages from so many of you, bumper opening! I could never have dreamed of so much. All your dreams for me are coming true #Grateful."
She added, "And for the few still calling #TheKeralaStory a propaganda film, saying these incidents do not exist even after watching testimonials of several Indian victims and their parents, my humble request, Google two words ISIS and Brides...maybe an account of white girls narrated to you might make you feel that our Indian movie is real."
Recently, a crew member of 'The Kerala Story' received a threatening message from an unknown number. According to the Mumbai Police, Sudipto Sen informed police about the same and the message threatened the person not to step out alone from home.
