Vijay Deverakonda is gearing up for an exciting new role in his upcoming film with director Rahul Sankritiyan. This marks their second collaboration after the success of 'Taxiwala'. Titled tentatively as 'VD14', the film promises a fresh and intriguing storyline.
As per a Hindustan Times report, in 'VD14', Vijay Deverakonda will be seen in a completely new avatar as a village boy, a character that he has never portrayed before. Known for his urban-centric roles, this rural character will showcase a different side of the actor's talent. Set in the Rayalseema region of Andhra Pradesh, the film will delve into the unique culture and characteristics of the area.

Director Rahul Sankritiyan expressed his excitement about this project, highlighting Vijay's dedication to his role. He revealed that Vijay is currently undergoing rigorous training to embody the role authentically. From mastering the Rayalseema slang to perfecting the body language of a horseman, Vijay is leaving no stone unturned to deliver a compelling performance.
The film's pre-production is already underway, with shooting scheduled to commence in September. Rahul Sankritiyan aims to showcase the authentic essence of Rayalseema culture, believing it hasn't been portrayed accurately in films before.

Apart from 'VD14', Vijay Deverakonda has also announced his involvement in another project tentatively titled 'SVC59'. Additionally, he is currently filming a project with 'Jersey' director Gowtam Tinnauri in Vishakhapatnam.
Fans of Vijay Deverakonda can look forward to seeing him in a never-seen-before avatar, portraying the role of a rural horseman.
