Marathi actor Pranit Hatte recently faced a disturbing incident of discrimination based on her gender identity. Known for her work in the Marathi series "Karbhari Laybhari," Pranit took to Instagram to share her experience of being denied accommodation at a hotel for being transgender.

Despite having booked a room in advance, Pranit was reportedly refused entry by Hotel Pooja International. In a video posted on her Instagram account, she expressed her frustration, stating that the hotel staff refused her room on the grounds of her gender. Pranit also highlighted the need for better understanding and acceptance of the transgender community, emphasizing that she was merely seeking accommodation for her work.

The incident sparked outrage among netizens, with many expressing disappointment and calling for action against the hotel. Some users urged Pranit to file a case against the hotel for violating her fundamental rights and dignity. Others pointed out that such discrimination is not acceptable in 2024 and called for greater awareness and education on transgender rights.
