A heart-wrenching and shameful incident has been revealed in the Gurugram district. A 47-year-old father is accused of raping his own two underage daughters, aged 12 and 17 for several years.

This horrifying crime came to light when the younger daughter found the courage to tell her school teacher about the abuse she was suffering. Understanding the seriousness of the situation, the teacher immediately informed the Udyog Vihar police. After the police spoke with the girls' mother and took her statement, a case was filed and the accused father was arrested on Thursday night.

The accused lives with his family in a village in the Udyog Vihar police station area and has a rental business. According to the complaint, he had been raping his older daughter for about six years and his younger daughter for three years. He would also frequently beat them.

The daughters had told their mother about the abuse, but she remained silent out of fear of her husband and social shame. Because of this fear, the two sisters endured this terrible act for years, the older daughter even stopped going to school.

The younger daughter, who attended a government school, started behaving differently. When her teacher noticed this and asked her why, the little girl broke down in tears and told her the entire story of the abuse. The teacher was stunned and immediately contacted the police.

Given how sensitive the matter was, the police first reached out to the mother. Based on her complaint, a case was registered against the father on Thursday under the strict sections of the POCSO Act (the law for protecting children from sexual offenses), and he was arrested. The head of the Udyog Vihar police station stated that a thorough investigation is underway and both girls will be provided with counseling.
