UP Road Accident: In a tragic incident, four people died and one got severely injured after a car collided with a trailer on the Azamgarh-Varanasi National Highway on Friday. As per the locals, the accident took place near the Kanjhit market of Devgaon Kotwali as the speeding Ertiga car collided with the trailer, leading to panic. The reports suggest that all the deceased are from Jharkhand's Daltonganj and were returning to their home state.

As per the reports, the car passengers were returning from a dargah in the Ambedkar Nagar district but met with the accident on the national highway. The local police arrived at the site after receiving the information and rescued the passengers with the help of locals. The five injured car occupants were taken to a nearby hospital in Lalganj, where doctors declared four of them dead.

Apart from this, one injured individual was referred to the district hospital after first aid. The police took all the dead body into custody and sent them for a post-mortem examination. The locals stated that traffic on the highway was also affected for a few hours after the accident. The police have launched a detailed probe into the matter for the exact reason behind the tragic accident.

Earlier on June 12, five members of a family died on the spot after their speeding SUV lost control and rammed into a roadside tree in Simdega, Jharkhand. The deceased have been identified as 58-year-old Ghulam Mustafa, a resident of Lohardaga, his 55-year-old wife Gulshan Parween, and their three children.

Other members of the family who were in the car were injured in the accident and have been referred to RIMS (Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences) after receiving first aid. According to the preliminary information, Ghulam Mustafa was travelling to Lasiya village with his daughters, Hina Parween and Neha Parween, and their children.
