Bengaluru Power Cut On June 23-24: Multiple localities across Bengaluru will face a scheduled power outage on June 23 and 24 due to maintenance and infrastructure upgrades by the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM). The electricity outage on Sunday may add to the struggle as weekends are often reserved for several work requiring electricity. The residents are advised to prepare in advance for supply disruptions on Sunday and Monday.

Bengaluru Power Cut On Sunday

Several neighbourhoods across the green city will face a supply cut for 6 hours from 10 am to 4 pm due to the maintenance work. The areas that will be affected due to the outage are Isro Layout, Kumaraswamy Layout, Ilyas Nagar, Yelachenahalli, Gangadhara Nagar, Vivekananda Colony, Pragathipura, Kashi Nagar, Vikram Nagar, Nanjappa Layout and Teachers Colony.

There will also be a 7-hour power outage in isolated areas like Peenya, Rajagopala Nagar and GKW Layout from 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday. 

Bengaluru Power Outage On Monday

Scores of localities will face a power cut on Monday also. The supply disruption on Monday will remain in place for 6 hours from 10 am to 4 pm. The localities that will face facility cut during the maintenance work are KR Layout, Sharada Nagar, Arehalli, Ittamadu, AGS Layout, TG Layout, Bhuvneshwari Nagar, Isro Layout, Kumaraswamy Layout, Yelachenahalli, Kadirenahalli and Naidu Layout.

The power supply department, BESCOM, has officially advised residents to charge essential devices in advance and expect temporary interruptions during the specified timings. The power cuts are scheduled and will be restored within the specified time. The facility disruptions are part of greater efforts to strengthen the city’s power infrastructure.
