Bengaluru Metro Yellow Line:  The Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) on Sunday said that the train services on Namma Metro Yellow Line will start early on August 18 in anticipation of increased passenger traffic following the long Independence Day weekend. The metro train from R V Road to Delta Electronics Bommasandra will run earlier than usual from 5 AM on Monday. Apart from this, other metro lines will remain unaffected.

The BMRCL also stated that the special arrangements are in place only for Monday, and from Tuesday onwards, the services on the Yellow Line will follow the usual timings. Services on Purple and Green Lines will operate as per the existing schedule from 4:15 AM on Monday. The corporation has urged the commuters to utilise the metro services for hassle-free travel on Monday.

“In anticipation of a significant increase in passenger activity following the extended Independence Day weekend, Namma Metro will start its Yellow Line services earlier than usual on Monday, 18th August 2025, with the first trains departing from both R.V. Road and Delta Electronics Bommasandra stations at 05:00 AM. This special arrangement is for Monday, the 18th August 2025 only, and trains will follow the normal start schedule of 6:30 am from Tuesday onwards,” the BMRCL stated in a post on X(formerly Twitter).

Namma Metro Yellow Line Inaugurated On August 10

Bengaluru’s Namma Metro Yellow Line from R V Road to Bommasandra was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 10, with regular services starting from August 11. Spanning over 19.15 km, the Yellow Line has 16 elevated stations which link key areas such as Silk Board Junction, BTM Layout, Electronic City, and Bommasandra’s industrial zone.
