Bengaluru Rains: Bengaluru has been grappling with heavy rains, as an orange alert has been issued for the city following a deluge that began early Tuesday. The downpour has disrupted normal life, leading to waterlogged streets and severe traffic congestion across many localities.

Meanwhile, the Karnataka government has declared a holiday for all schools, including Anganwadi centres and private primary and high schools across the city. Additionally, a work-from-home advisory has been issued for IT, BT, and private firms, prioritizing the well-being of employees in the wake of heavy rainfall.

The heavy downpour flooded several tech hubs across the city including Manyata Tech Park, leaving employees stranded and drawing criticism for poor infrastructure.

Manyata Tech Park, one of India’s biggest office spaces got flooded due to the constant downpour. Several industries inside the tech village instructed employees to remain in their offices as torrential rains have turned roads into treacherous waterways. The tech park campus is situated on the banks of Nagawara Lake on Outer Ring Road.

Netizens took to social media to share a video of the flooded area with cars struck on the road. One of the users labelled Manyata Tech Park as “Manyata Tech Falls” and urged authorities to ensure proper flood management.

“Wow, it was a lake. Of course, water would flow towards it because that's the way it has always known,” another user wrote on X. Another person added, “This is so scary.”.
