Udyami Yojana 2026 Update: The Bihar government has launched the Bihar Udyami Yojana to boost entrepreneurship among the youth. As per the scheme, the government will provide a loan of Rs 10 lakh to start any medium-scale business. The government stated that while Rs 5 lakh is waived, the beneficiaries are required to pay back the remaining amount in 84 easy installments. While the women beneficiaries are not required to pay any interest on the loan, men will have to pay the loan with 1 per cent interest.

- Matriculation certificate (for date of birth)
- Inter pass or equivalent certificate
- Caste certificate
- Aadhar card and PAN card
- Copy of bank passbook and cancelled cheque
- Passport size photo and signature
How To Apply?
- Visit the website udyami.bihar.gov.in
- Enter your name, mobile number, and Aadhaar number
- Fill in your information and select your business idea
- Upload all required documents
- Verify and submit the form, and keep a copy
Key Criterias:
- Applicants must be citizens of Bihar
- Applicant must establish a business in their home district
- Once selected, the project idea cannot be changed
- Applicant must have at least a 12th-grade degree or an ITI or polytechnic diploma
- The scheme is available only to those between the ages of 18 and 50
- The employment must be on the applicant's personal PAN card

While providing details, the government stated that the number of applications received on the portal by March 15 will be reviewed and selected based on the district's target. The officials stated that the scheme has been divided into three categories, adding that different types of business ideas have been categorized under these categories.
The government asserted that the scheme will motivate the youth and women to start their businesses, adding that these businesses will generate more growth in the state.
