CJP Calls Nationwide Protests Over Paper Leaks Today; Heavy Security Deployed In Delhi

Students Protest: Amid the ongoing large-scale protest in Delhi, the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has called for peaceful protests at the district level across the country on Friday. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the CJP urged all the student organisations to unite and protest against the paper leaks and other irregularities in the education system. The delegation of the campaign is also set to meet the union ministers on Friday to discuss their demands.

Security Arrangements In Delhi

The CJP's protest is now not just limited to Jantar Mantar, as the students have also been protesting at Parliament Street and Tolstoy Street. The police have closed these roads and placed barricades at various sites to restrict them from moving further. Apart from these measures, a large number of security forces have also been deployed in the capital city to control the situation.

Earlier on Wednesday, 20 companies of the CRPF, on the instructions of the home ministry, were deployed to Delhi ahead of the protest called by the CJP. The Delhi Police has also shut down internet services within a two-kilometre radius of the protest site in response to the violence and unrest. Apart from this, 17 metro stations nearby the protest site have been temporarily closed.

The closure of metro stations and internet services has caused inconvenience to the residents of several regions, including Connaught Place, Mandi House, Bengali Market, Raisina Road, Barakhamba, and Ashoka Road.

Students Protest Across The Nation

Earlier on Thursday, along with Delhi, large-scale protests were also held in several other cities, especially in Bihar. The CJP leadership has clarified that the protest will continue until Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigns. Apart from this, they have also asked the centre to not file cases against the protesters and provide Rs 1 crore as compensation to the families of the students who died due to the paper leak.
