Delhi Biker Death: Amid a row over the death of a bank telecaller who fell into an unsecured pit in Delhi, the police have informed that at least five people were aware of the incident, but they did not inform the authorities. The police arrested a subcontractor on Saturday who was one of the accused and asserted that separate teams have been dispatched to search for two other individuals. Kamal Dhyani, the 25-year-old bank telecaller, remained in the pit for almost eight hours, but the people aware of the matter did not inform the police.
The officials stated that Rajesh Kumar Prajapati, the subcontractor, was one of the people aware that Dhyani's bike had fallen into the pit. The police have booked Prajapati for culpable homicide not amounting to murder, reported the Hindustan Times. The officials informed that Vipin Singh, a passerby, had informed the guard about the incident. The guard alerted Yogesh, a labourer, who was staying in a tent 10 feet away from the pit.
“Singh stopped the car near the residential colony and informed the security guard at the main gate of a residential colony about the incident. The guard alerted Yogesh, a labourer working on the pit and staying in a tent 10-feet away,” Sharad Bhaskar, deputy commissioner of police (west), was quoted as saying by HT.
“Yogesh walked to the pit and saw a motorcycle inside with its headlight on. A human being lay beside it,” he added. The labourer visited the site and called the sub-contractor, who arrived in his car after 20 minutes. The sub-contractor called the contractor, Himanshu Gupta, but fled the spot at around 1.45 AM without informing the police.

The police further assured that a team has been sent to nab the labourer and the contractor, who fled the scene without informing the authorities.
