Delhi News: The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has extended the deadline for its Apna Ghar Awas Yojna by three months following strong public demand. The housing scheme, which was set to end on August 26, will now remain open until November 26.

In addition to extending the deadline, DDA has added 152 more flats under the scheme. These are located in Loknayakpuram and Narela, with booking set to open from 12 noon on September 5. A 15 per cent discount will be applicable on all flats, officials confirmed.

Apna Ghar Awas Yojna: New Flats Added

Out of the 152 new units, 76 MIG (Middle Income Group) flats are available in D Block, Loknayakpuram. Each flat has a size ranging between 134.25 and 140.45 square metres. Their estimated price ranges from Rs 1.17 crore to Rs 1.22 crore. After applying the discount, the cost will fall to around Rs 1 crore to Rs 1.04 crore.

Similarly, 76 EWS (Economically Weaker Section) flats have been launched in Narela Sector A1-A4 (Block G), Pocket 14. These flats measure 61.25 to 61.73 square metres and are priced between Rs 31.52 lakh and Rs 31.76 lakh. With the discount, the cost will come down to about Rs 26.95 lakh to Rs 27.15 lakh.

Apna Ghar Awas Yojna: Scheme Details

The Apna Ghar Awas Yojna 2025 was launched on August 26 as part of DDA’s premium housing initiative. As per the scheme, buyers will have the option to choose their preferred flat and floor on a first-come, first-served basis. DDA has also clarified that the estimated prices do not include water connection charges.

DDA officials said the extension and addition of flats aim to meet the growing demand for affordable housing in the capital.
