State Bureau, New Delhi: Those looking for affordable housing OPTIONS in Delhi have a reason to celebrate this festive season. The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is preparing to launch a new housing scheme around Dussehra and Diwali. The upcoming scheme is expected to offer over 4,000 flats, located primarily in Narela and select other parts of the capital. Dedicated nodal officers will also be deployed to assist buyers.

Key Highlights Of The Housing Scheme

  • Flat Sizes: The scheme will offer 1 BHK, 2 BHK, and 3 BHK flats to suit small, medium, and large families.
  • Location: A major portion of the flats will be in Narela, along with options in other parts of Delhi.
  • Options for All Income Groups: Designed to provide housing options for Low-Income Groups (LIG), Middle-Income Groups (MIG), and High-Income Groups (HIG).
  • Price And Booking Details: Specific pricing details, registration fees, and complete booking terms will be announced once the DDA releases the scheme brochure.

Extension Of DDA Karmayogi And Nagarik Housing Schemes

Additionally, the DDA plans to extend booking deadlines for two housing schemes that currently feature a 25 per cent discount:

  • 1-Month Extension Expected: Bookings for both existing schemes, originally set to close at the end of September, are likely to be extended by about one month.
  • Karmayogi Housing Scheme: Reserved exclusively for serving and retired government employees. It offers 1 BHK and 2 BHK flats in Narela across Pockets 6, 9, and 13 (Sectors A-1 to A-4).
  • Nagarik Housing Scheme: Open to the general public. It includes 616 MIG (2 BHK) and 567 HIG flats located in Narela (Pockets 3 and 4, Sectors A-1 to A-4).

When Will Applications For The New Scheme Open?

The festive housing scheme is expected to launch in October and November. Exact booking opening dates, application deadlines, and payment schedules will be declared after DDA's official announcement.
