Delhi Weather Forecast: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reports that the maximum temperature in Delhi was 36 degrees Celsius, which is 1.8 degrees above the season's average. Parts of the national capital also saw rain. The public works department in Delhi reported that it had received five complaints from the south, central, and Rohini zones regarding waterlogging and uprooted trees.
According to the IMD, the humidity at 5:30 was 63 percent. On Monday, it is expected to be a mostly overcast sky with light rain. Strong winds will blow at a speed of 25 to 35 km per hour.
IMD said that Monday's highest and lowest temperatures are anticipated to be about 35 and 28 degrees Celsius, respectively.
The Central Pollution Control Board reports that around 6 PM, the national capital's Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 63 in the 'satisfactory' category. The same situation was seen in NCR cities.
Faridabad's AQI was 66, Gurugram's 84, Noida's 97, Ghaziabad's 57 and Greater Noida's 94. All places were recorded as "satisfactory". The air quality is likely to remain more or less at the same level for two to three days.
Delhi Braces For More Rains
The IMD has issued a yellow alert forecasting light to moderate rainfall in the national capital from August 6 to August 8. During this time temperature is also likely to drop by two to three degrees.
