The traffic pressure has increased a lot in Greater Noida West, especially during office hours. To deal with this, U-turns have been constructed at the Itaida roundabout and the Ekmurti roundabout. Shahberi Road has also been widened by over 3 metres.
An underpass is being built to make Char Murti Chowk (Kisan Chowk) free from frequent traffic congestion. This underpass is being built parallel to the 60-meter road. Traffic diversion has been done as the underpass work has commenced on the main road from Bisrakh towards the intersection.
The main carriageway has been closed about 150 meters before Bisrakh towards the intersection. The amount of Rs 92 crore will be spent on the construction of the underpass. It will take one year to complete.
Authority ACEO Prerna Singh, cited by Jagran.com, said that in view of the problems faced by thousands of people passing through the intersection, efforts are being made to complete the work of the underpass quickly. Officials are regularly inspecting the construction of the underpass to ensure that it is completed on time.
