The Delhi Police Special Cell, along with the Uttar Pradesh and Haryana Special Task Forces (STF), killed two gangsters accused of firing outside actor Disha Patani’s house in Bareilly last week. The two were killed in an encounter in Tronica City, Ghaziabad, on Wednesday.
In the Tronica City encounter in Ghaziabad, gangsters Ravindra from Rohtak and Arun from Sonipat, both associated with the Rohit Godara-Goldy Brar gang, were killed following an exchange of more than a dozen gunshots with police.

Regarding the encounter of the 2 accused of firing outside his residence, actor Disha Patani's father and retired CO Jagdish Patani said, "I thank UP CM Yogi Adityanath on behalf of me and my family. As he had assured me, he found the criminals and took such strict action. I had a telephonic conversation with CM Yogi Adityanath today and thanked him as under his guidance, UP government and UP police are fully realising the vision of a fear-free society."

Police identified the alleged criminals as Ravindra from Rohtak, Haryana, and Arun from Sonipat, Haryana, both reportedly members of the Goldy Brar-Rohit Godara gang. A pistol and cartridges were recovered at the scene. According to authorities, Ravindra sustained a gunshot wound to the chest, while Arun was injured in the neck and chest. Both succumbed to their injuries during treatment.
Pramod Singh Kushwah, additional commissioner of police (Special Cell), said, “In a joint operation of Delhi Police Special Cell, UP STF and Haryana STF, two active criminals of Rohit Godara-Goldy Brar gang were injured in a shoot-out near Tronica City, Ghaziabad…Both accused were directly involved in a firing incident outside Bollywood actress Disha Patani’s residence in Bareilly.”

How Police Track Gasters
1. Investigators identified Ravindra using CCTV footage near Disha Patani’s house.
2. The UP STF tracked the suspects’ movements through key routes in Bareilly and nearby districts, utilising crime databases from Delhi and Haryana, along with technical surveillance.
3. A team led by ACP Dharmender Singh and SI Manjeet Singh confirmed on Monday that the accused had reached Ghaziabad.
4. “It was around 4-5 am that the teams found that the accused had finally reached Ghaziabad and were trying to escape. By afternoon, their location was confirmed and a trap was laid near Tronica City,” a Delhi Police officer said.
5. Around 7:20 pm, police intercepted their bike and asked them to surrender.
6. The suspects allegedly opened fire, injuring a police officer and a vehicle.
7. Police responded immediately, resulting in both accused sustaining fatal injuries.

Why Gangsters Fired At Actor House
1. According to the HT report, UP STF officials stated that the gang had been monitoring Disha Patani’s residence for weeks to extort her and her family.
2. Haryana STF Superintendent of Police Waseem Akram confirmed the duo’s involvement in the September 12 firing incident in Bareilly.
3. When intercepted near Tronica City, the suspects opened fire; police retaliated and apprehended them.
4. The accused were rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to their injuries.
5. Ravindra had been wanted since 2024 in a Fatehabad court firing case and was involved in a September 5 gang attack in Bhiwani, where assailants shot at a man named Luvjeet outside court.
6. Four police officers were injured in the gunfight: SI Rohit sustained a gunshot wound to his left hand, HC Kailash was injured on his right hand, and two UP STF head constables, Ankur and Jai, were also hurt.

7. Police recovered a stolen bike along with a Zigana pistol and a Glock Gen 5 pistol from the accused.
