Himachal Weather: The drastic temperature fluctuations causing intense heat during the day and cold mornings and evenings are leading to discomfort for people across Himachal Pradesh. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that the cold is likely to intensify during the next five days.

Dry and cold winds blowing from Iran and Afghanistan are causing morning and evening minimum temperatures to drop across most parts of the state. In the higher elevations of Kalpa, Keylong, Tabo, Jubbarhatti, Bharmour, and Shimla, the minimum temperature dropped by one degree Celsius on Wednesday.

The weather in the state is currently dry. Rain and snowfall are not expected next week. IMD has forecast clear weather from October 16 to 21.

Keylong recorded a minimum temperature of 1.3 degrees Celsius, the coldest place in the state. The cold wave continued to grip tribal areas, with many high-altitude areas recording minimum temperatures close to freezing.

Shimla, Manali, Dalhousie, and Dharamshala experienced pleasant weather, with cool mornings and evenings and mild sunshine during the day. Sarahan received 1.5 mm of rain in the past 24 hours. Sundernagar experienced dense fog in the morning, limiting visibility to 100 metres.
