Holi Special Trains: In a bid to manage the festive rush during Holi, the South Eastern Railway has announced a new train between Bhubaneswar and Dhanbad from February 28 to April 1 via Rourkela and Jharsuguda stations on the Chakradharpur Railway Division. 

As per official information, the Holi special train number 02832 will depart from Bhubaneswar to Dhanbad from February 28 to March 31. On the return leg, train number 02831 Dhanbad-Bhubaneswar Holi Special train will run from March 1 to April 1. In total, the train will make 64 trips (UP and DOWN).

Bhubaneshwar-Dhanbad Holi Special: Stoppages

  • Bokaro Steel City (BKSC)

Bhubaneshwar-Dhanbad Holi Special: Timings

The train will run all seven days of the week (Monday to Sunday). From Bhubaneswar, the train will depart at 08:25 pm and will reach Dhanbad at 11:00 am the next day. On the return journey, the train will depart from Dhanbad at 04:00 pm and will reach Bhubaneswar the next day at 07:45 am.

Shalimar-Vishakapatnam Holi Special Train

In a separate development, the railways will also operate a Holi special train between Shalimar (Kolkata) and Vishakapatnam from March 3 to March 18. Additionally, another special train will run from Shalimar to Charlapalli from February 26 to March 6. This will help passengers avoid heavy rush at stations and long waiting lists for trains during the festival.

Train No. 08508 Visakhapatnam-Shalimar Holi Special train will depart from Visakhapatnam every Wednesday from March 3 to March 17 at 11:20 am and will reach Shalimar at 03:00 am the next day. In the return direction, Train No. 08507 will depart from Shalimar every Tuesday from March 4th to March 18th at 05:00 AM and arrive at Visakhapatnam at 8:50 PM the next day.

The train will stop at Santragachi, Kharagpur and Balasore stations under the jurisdiction of South Eastern Railway.

Meanwhile,  Train No. 07512 will depart from Charlapalli station at 05:40 am on February 26, 01 and March 05 and will reach Shalimar at 11:20 am the next day.

In the return direction, Train No. 07513 train will depart from Shalimar at 12:45 pm on February 27, March 2 and 6 and arrive at Charlapalli at 9:50 pm the next day. The train will stop at Santragachi, Kharagpur and Balasore stations under the jurisdiction of South Eastern Railway.
