Karnataka Weather: The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy rain in six Karnataka districts. An alert has also been issued for Belgaum, Dharwad, Kodagu, Shivamogga and Chikkamagaluru districts. The wind speed in these regions is expected to be between 30-40 kmph. According to the weather body, rain activity will continue for the next three days. Showers are also expected to lash the capital, Bengaluru, Kolar, Tumkur, Bellary, Davangere, Haveri, Gadag, Koppal, Dharwad, Vijayapura, Mysore, and Mandya districts.
Holidays have also been declared for schools and colleges in multiple areas including Belgaum and Khanapura taluks in view of the heavy rain alert.
Coastal Karnataka

June 27: Heavy rain with sustained wind (30-40 kmph) is likely to occur at a few places over Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada and Udupi districts.
North Interior Karnataka
