Bengaluru Weather: Bengaluru will continue to experience dry and warm weather conditions over the next two days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). While skies will remain partly cloudy, no rain is expected until May 13. Light showers may finally return to the city by May 14, bringing some relief from the current heat.
On May 12 and 13, daytime temperatures in Bengaluru are expected to hover around 31 to 32 degrees Celsius, with minimum temperatures near 21 degrees Celsius. Though clouds will persist, rainfall is unlikely during this period. From May 14 onwards, there are chances of rain, with cloudy skies expected to dominate. The same temperature range is likely to continue.
Karnataka Weather Forecast
Meanwhile, several parts of Karnataka are forecast to receive rainfall over the coming week. From May 11 to May 16, light to moderate rain with gusty winds is expected in coastal and northern districts such as Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Bagalkot, Belagavi, Dharwad and Kalaburagi. Wind speeds may range between 30 and 50 kmph in some areas.
In southern parts of the state, including Mysuru, Mandya, Kodagu, Bengaluru (Urban and Rural), Tumakuru, and Chikkamagaluru, weather conditions are expected to shift from isolated rainfall on May 11 and 12 to more widespread showers from May 13 to May 16. Gusty winds between 30 and 40 kmph may accompany the showers, particularly on May 13 and 14.
The IMD has predicted increased rainfall across the state after May 12. Districts such as Chamarajanagar, Davanagere, Kolar, and Ramanagara are also likely to see moderate showers later in the week. However, areas like Belgaum, Madikeri, Chitradurga and Gadag may experience heavier rain today itself, while the rest of the districts are expected to remain dry and sunny.
Weather conditions are expected to remain mixed in Karnataka over the next few days, with some areas seeing sunshine and others dealing with thunderstorms.
