Madhya Pradesh Weather: With the beginning of the second fortnight of April, the mercury has crossed 40 degrees Celsius in most cities of Madhya Pradesh. On Thursday, the highest temperature of 43.6 degrees Celsius was recorded in Narmadapuram. Mercury in Ratlam also remains above 43 degrees Celsius. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a possibility of a heatwave in many cities of the state for the next two to three days. Heatwaves may also blow in the districts of Gwalior, Chambal and Indore division. On Thursday, the maximum temperature in 20 cities was between 40 to 43.6 degrees Celsius.

With the north-western winds gaining strength in the third week, the minimum temperature in Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior, Chambal, Sagar, Rewa, Narmadapuram divisions will be around 25 to 27 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature during the day in the entire state can remain between 42 to 44 degrees Celsius. Heatwave can blow for two to three days. There is also a possibility of light rain. While in the fourth week, with the north-western winds gaining strength, the minimum temperature in the entire state will be 3-4 degrees more than normal i.e. 27 to 30 degrees Celsius. Nights will also become hot along with the day. The mercury in Gwalior, Chambal, Sagar and Rewa divisions can touch 43-45 degrees while the temperature in the rest of the state including Indore, Ujjain-Bhopal can be 41 to 44 degree Celsius. Due to the cyclonic circulation system in the Bengal region, the effect of heat wave can remain for three to four days in the last week of April.

According to the information received from meteorologists, the day temperature can reach 40 to 45 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature is likely to reach 20 to 25 degrees Celsius. In many cities, the day time temperature is being seen between 38 to 43 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the night temperature remains around 20 to 23 degrees Celsius.
In capital city Bhopal, the day temperature on Thursday was recorded at 41.1 degrees Celsius. It increased by 1.3 degrees as compared to Wednesday. However, the night temperature fell by 2.6 degrees and the mercury was recorded at 23.4 degrees Celsius. During the last 24 hours, the mercury in the districts of Ujjain division of the state was 1.6 degrees above normal. Light drizzle was recorded at some places in the districts of Indore and Jabalpur division. However, the highest minimum night temperature of 26.8 degrees Celsius was recorded in Kannaud of Dewas district.
Highest Temp In Narmadapuram
During the last 24 hours, the highest temperature in the state was recorded in Narmadapuram district at 43.6 degrees Celsius. Apart from this, 43.2 degrees Celsius was recorded in Ratlam district, 42.4 degrees Celsius in Guna, 42 degrees Celsius in Gwalior/Dhar/Narsinghpur and 41.5 degrees Celsius in Ujjain/Tikamgarh.
Talking about the maximum temperature of the five big cities of the state, Gwalior recorded the highest maximum temperature on Wednesday. The mercury here was recorded at 42 degrees Celsius. Apart from this, the maximum temperature of Ujjain was 41.5 degrees Celsius, Bhopal 41.1 degrees Celsius, Indore 40.4 degrees Celsius and Jabalpur 39.6 degrees Celsius.
