A 46-year-old man in Madhya Pradesh's Damoh district was arrested again on Thursday for brutally killing of a 16-year-old boy and allegedly attempt to eat victim's flesh and drink his blood following the attack in Samanna Village. The suspect is identified as Guddu Patel, who murdered his wife by slitting her throat years ago. He was recently released from prison in January.

The Attack And Gruesome Allegations

The victim, a resident of nearby Arthkheda village, had been visiting his sister in Samanna. According to City Superintendent of Police (CSP) HR Pandey, the teenager was heading home on his motorcycle when Patel intercepted him. The suspect allegedly used an iron rod to knock the boy down before fatally striking him with an iron hammer.

"When the villagers heard the screams, they rushed to the spot and found Patel eating flesh from the boy’s head and drinking blood from his hands," HR Pandey said, as quoted by Hindustan Times.

Villagers Confront Suspect

Witnesses tried to intervene, but Guddu Patel reportedly threatened the crowd with his hammer before fleeing into a nearby agricultural field. A tense standoff followed as villagers tracked him down and began pelting him with stones. Patel retaliated by throwing stones back at the locals until police arrived to secure the area.

Arrest And Investigation

After nearly an hour of effort, law enforcement surrounded the field and took Patel into custody. While the motive for this latest killing remains unclear, the victim’s family has already voiced their outrage, with relatives of the boy’s sister calling for the death penalty. Authorities are currently investigating the crime and the disturbing claims made by the eyewitnesses.
