Two men on a motorcycle reportedly abducted a six-year-old boy, the son of a local businessman in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior on Thursday. The kidnappers attacked the child's mother by throwing chilli powder in her eyes as they waited for the school bus in the Morar area of the city. Police are investigating the incident.

"Two men came on a motorcycle and threw chilli powder into the eyes of the woman and kidnapped her son, whose father is a sugar merchant. The accused then took away the child on their motorcycle," Gwalior Zone Inspector General of Police (IG) Arvind Saxena told news agency PTI.

"After being informed about the incident around 8.10 am, the police announced a cash reward of Rs 30,000 for any information leading to the arrest of the accused and the rescue of the boy," he further said.

The kidnapped boy is the son of Rahul Gupta, a resident of C P Colony in the Murar area, along with his family. According to police, Gupta's wife typically drops their son off at the location where his school bus picks him up.
