Air India Express responded to an X post in which a user flagged a safety concern after a plane moved on the runway while passengers were standing in the aisle of the aircraft. The airline regretted the incident, asserting that safety remains its highest priority.
What Air India Express Said
"Hi Amitava, we sincerely regret any concern caused by the situation observed onboard flight IX 1236. Please be assured that safety remains our highest priority, and we conduct all operations in accordance with applicable safety procedures and regulatory requirements. Our crew is trained to ensure that all safety protocols are followed throughout the journey and to address any situation that may arise onboard. We appreciate you taking the time to share your observation and thank you for your understanding," the airline wrote on X.

What Was The Issue?
Earlier, an X user, Amitava Das (@Amitava35877067), on Monday, shared a video clip, writing: "Passengers are standing and flight running, what a safety standard of @AirIndiaX flight IX 1236." In another X post Das claimed that the crew did not announce the takeoff. As per SOP (standard operating procedures), the flight crew announces to sit down and fasten seat belts before the plane moves for takeoff.
"Unfortunately crew team are not even announcement," Das' another X post read.
The video shows that passengers were standing in the aisle of the aircraft while it was still moving on the runway. However, The Daily Jagran could not independently verify the video clip.

'No Compromise On Safety': Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan
In another development, Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu on Tuesday emphasised that there should not be any compromise in terms of security detail in the airport operations.
While speaking on the security lapse incident, Naidu said, "One thing is that we want the security to be in place; there should not be any compromise in terms of security detail in our airport operations, and the second is that we also want to facilitate a lot of convenience for our international passengers. That is where the idea of hub-and-spoke operations comes in, and India truly believes in becoming a global aviation hub and for that the hub-and-spoke model is very important."
