Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that several states are likely to witness light to heavy rainfall on Saturday. In its advisory, the weather department stated that along with the rain, the northern and eastern states are also expected to receive thunderstorms and gusty winds. The residents have been advised to follow the guidelines and limit their outings during rain to avoid inconveniences.
Rain Likely In Multiple States
While providing details, the IMD stated that several states, including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh, are set to witness rainfall throughout the day. The continuous rainfall in these states is likely to cause waterlogging in the lower regions, leading to inconveniences.
Will It Rain In Delhi-NCR?
The weather department has issued a light to moderate rain alert for Delhi and its nearby cities, including Noida and Gurugram. The residents are expected to witness cloudy skies and surface winds throughout the day, with chances of rain in the late hours. While the maximum temperature is likely to be calculated at 32 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is expected to remain around 23 degrees Celsius.

The IMD has also issued rain alerts for several districts of Uttar Pradesh, such as Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Kheri, Shravasti, Balrampur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Shahjahanpur, Kanpur, Barabanki, Siddharth Nagar, Hardoi, Gonda, Bareilly, Jyotiba Phule Nagar, Mainpuri, Farrukhabad, Basti, Lucknow, Kanshiram Nagar, Bulandshahr, Etah, Kannauj, Fatehpur, Pratapgarh, Ghazipur, and Gorakhpur.
Heavy Rain Likely In Bihar
Apart from this, heavy rain and thunderstorm warnings have also been issued for multiple districts, including West Champaran, East Champaran, Siwan, Saran, Arwal, Aurangabad, Jehanabad, Patna, Bhojpur, Rohtas, Nawada, Sitamarhi, Vaishali, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Madhepura, Supaul, Saharsa, Purnia, Katihar, and Begusarai. The farmers have been advised to take precautionary steps and protect their crops.
